change doesn't fight fair.

it's like a freaking sucker punch
you think you have all this time and then
BAM
everything is changing
goodbyes are coming at you from every direction
the sadness burns your throat
while the tears hit your cheeks like rocks
'last this' and 'final that' disorient you
and everyone else's sorrow kicks you while your down.

change doesn't fight fair.

I actually read this a few days ago and I just didn't know what to say to it. I wanted something more eloquent than just a concurrence, but I have given into it. I don't know what else to say aside from the fact that I agree. The change doesn't seem to occur gradually enough. One minute you are just having a normal summer and the next everything is different. Perhaps it isn't worse, but it takes a bit of adjusting. I only hope it turns out better =).

thanks for the comment. it does take adjusting. maybe change is better when it just comes fast. but it sucks. eventually, though...it becomes the new normal. we all just really love our old normal.
